How can I find the frame number on my bike?

The frame number is a combination of letters and numbers that is stamped into the bottom bracket shell.

How can I tell the age of my Islabike?

Over the last 11 years all of our bikes have evolved, improved and changed. If you are unsure of the age of your Islabike we would recommend emailing in some details to our customer service team. If you could please email a photograph of the whole drive side of the bike and also please let us know the frame number (located on the bottom bracket). We will then be able to estimate the age of your bike.

Unlike other manufacturers we do not have model years for our bikes. We have a policy of continuous improvement and therefore make small adjustments and improvements over time.

How can I tell what size Islabike I have?

To determine the size of your Islabike the best guide is the crank length. On the inside face of the crank you will find a number printed. The crank lengths for the bikes are:

Cnoc 14 Small – 80mm

Cnoc 14 Large – 90mm

Cnoc 16 – 102mm

I have misplaced my owner’s manual. Where can I find a replacement?

How do I assemble my bike?

Your bike will be fully assembled and everything adjusted so it is ready to ride before it leaves us. We do have to package it for transit, so when you receive it you will have to do a number of small tasks. There are illustrated instructions in your Islabike box that explain how to do these, along with all the tools required.

My Islabike has been involved in a crash or accident, how do I know if it is safe to ride?

Where can I get my Islabike serviced?

You can make an appointment to bring your bike in to us here in Ludlow, Shropshire. Our fully trained mechanics will be able to access and fully service your Islabikes.

Alternatively we would recommend taking your Islabike to your good, local Cytech Accredited bike shop. You can find your local Cytech Accredited bike shop here

My derailleur hanger is bent/broken, what should I do?

You can purchase a replacement derailleur hanger via the accessory page of the website. If you are the owner of a Creig 24 or 26 you will need to contact our customer service team on +44 (0)800 008 6297 to order a replacement hanger due to variation over time.

The chain keeps coming off of my bike, what should I do?

Contact technical support on +44 (0)800 008 6297 or who will support you in diagnosing and resolving the issue.

There is a hole in the gear shifter, is this normal?

The hole on the gear shifter of the gripshift is an access hole to remove and insert a new gear cable in the future. This is supposed to be there and will not get any wider with use.

Do you supply touch up paint?

Due to strict COSHH regulations governing the sale and safe transport of substances we don’t have touch up paint available. It may be possible to find a colour match that’s close from a car accessory shop or a model shop – there isn’t an official colour reference number we can quote as our colours are not chosen from a UK recognised colour chart so you’d need to take the bike with you.

To achieve the unique paint finish on an Islabike a number of colour layers are used, including a lacquer. For that reason, it will not be possible to achieve a perfect match with the colour of your Islabike.
