The Beinn 29 frame is built from strong, superlight aluminium with supple chromoly forks. This makes it incredibly easy for riders to pedal on a variety of terrains, from family rides, picking up some essentials from town or commuting to and from work.
A lightweight single front chainring and wide range 10-speed cassette delivers a full range of gears to tackle any climb. The SRAM X5 trigger shifter and rear mech use a 1:1 cable pull ratio, resulting in crisp and precise gear shifting in all situations. To complement this the SRAM BB5 disc brakes give powerful, fingertip control whatever the weather.
Each Beinn 29 small, medium or large model features lightweight size-specific cranks, stem and handlebar to ensure a super comfortable fit. Our anatomically correct saddle is designed to work perfectly with the Beinn’s natural upright riding position.
Beinn 29 wheels feature Islabikes' own disc-specific lightweight rims and hubs laced with stainless steel spokes for a smooth, responsive ride. Quick-release cams mean easy wheel removal for transport, storage or puncture repairs.
The Beinn 29 is fitted with durable, smooth-rolling tyres that feature reflective sidewalls and a puncture resistant Kevlar strip. Alternatively, we can fit a pair of Continental Race King mountain bike tyres if you’ll be on the trails full-time or legendary tough, puncture resistant Schwalbe Marathon tyres for daily commuting or distant exploring.
Choose additional options such as tyres for mountain bike or road speed needs, a custom Islabikes luggage rack and mudguards or just a bottle and cage. Whatever you need for your adventures, our expert mechanics will fit them.

When it comes to cycling, and especially family cycling, there should be no such thing as fear of the dark. Nighttime bike rides can be a thrilling and far from scary affair.
